Dear Ridgedale Families-
“Endurance is fortifying. It is discovering you can get socked in the nose and take it. “- David Brooks
This was not the way we envisioned starting the 2020-2021 school year. We have been so excited about the construction and remodeling, eager to open the doors and share the fabulous updates. We finally have the facility that Ridgedale families deserve and can be proud of, a building that provides updated spaces designed to enhance teaching and learning. Who would have imagined back on August 20, 2019, the day that the project began, that we would be physically out of school for over 6 months? But we are finally opening our doors to our students! It is not the grand opening celebration we had hoped for, but we are excited to have students back in the classrooms learning together. Although the remote learning has been remarkable, it is not the same as being in-person, making connections and growing as learners.
I thank you for your patience and understanding. It feels like each day has brought a new twist and turn to our back to school plans. Everyone has been forced to endure change. The struggle has made us stronger.
Sincerely,
Sheri Petitte
